Hemel 2020

The extremely important programme for regeneration of Hemel Hempstead following the Buncefield Oil Terminal disaster is proceeding on several fronts. The centre of Hemel Hempstead is currently being considered by the Two Waters Urban Park Group. This Group is planning to co-ordinate regeneration of the river corridor stretching from Apsley through the Jellicoe Water Gardens, the proposed Civic Zone and including Gadebridge Park. It is too early to know what is yet to be decided by the Group for the best way forward. If it proceeds on the basis of an HLF Heritage Application this may provide funds for further research. The heritage aspects are currently being researched and are quite substantial.
